Our lab collaborated with local non-profit Unmatched Athlete and UMBC Athletics to host a lab tour, an interactive “are you stronger than a cell?” demo, and a basketball clinic. Thanks to all of the volunteers and participants! And a special thanks to lab member William Brown, who made the interactive demo!

 

In January 2026, UMBC hosted a Science Olympiad Invitational. Profs. Mollica and Clark led the Engineering Computer-Aided Design (CAD) event with the support of fantastic undergraduate volunteers Andrew Steele, Lawrence Kemp, Melina Esparza Acero, and Jessica Nwamara.
